How many..

June 27th, 2006

So - how many Ho family members does it take to use a circular saw on a toilet seat?

Trick question, you say?? Oh, Let us count the family.

Yut…yee…sam…say…

hmm…maybe…seven?

Ok, so here’s the story. Auntie Daisy has a toilet that just fits under the bathroom counter edge. HOWEVER, the lid of the toilet won’t stay up because the toilet seat is taller than the counter edge. During our family get together this June, it was decided that the best idea was to use Uncle Tom’s circular saw to chop off the top edge of the toilet seat edge. Peter had to carry around the toilet seat to dinner and afterwards (poor guy), and then there was the requisite “find me a better power cord”, at which point Margaret and I retreated upstairs to find something else to do while the men went to work.
End of the story? The toilet seat seems to be working according to its new specifications quite nicely. Our family can really get things done when we want to, even if it does take half of us to operate the circular saw.

So - I have a great story for you -

This is the best!

My brother and I trade phone pics for messages sometimes, and he randomly sent me a picture of a coke and m&ms (great picture). Now, I’d been craving a coke all day, and this was just torture. I, in the midst of my packing, took a picture of myself with the title ” Is that for me?” and sent it back to him.
A couple of hours later, I get a phone call from Nathan - “hey, whachadoin’? Oh, I got your pix message. I’ll do some magic - ready? Ala, peanutbutterandjellysandwich! Now go open your front door.” I wasn’t really thinking, and sometimes I’ll just do some random thing he says just because it’s crazy, so I didn’t question it, I just went to open the door so I could say I did -and VIOLA! there’s a bag with a Coke, m&ms and a hershey bar!!!!

WOOHOO!! HOW DID YOU DO THAT???

He had called mom - she was already at the grocery store, and had her pull of this prank - she was hiding down the stairs. It’s the best prank ever! We had a great time laughing about it.

Family is great - we have a good time together. This was one of my brother’s random acts of happiness!! And it was one of the best Cokes I’ve ever had.

The most MAGICAL vacation!

December 8th, 2004

I had the most MAGICAL vacation with my cousins for my recent birthday. i have to say, that’s the way to go!!! all fun.

I probably would have otherwise just sat home and cried. or something.

one week of kill your feet and back partying through all the parks, and i even got to go to one of the water parks on my flying back day as a bonus! it rained every day, but only at about dinner time, as a rule, which was just fine. but, boy, was it
reaaaally hot and humid! i was prepared since weather here at home was just about the same, but we sure did a lot of sweating.

can’t wait to put my scrapbook album together – got a “party that never ends 2005” disney book that is “da bomb!” – and i’ve had the worst time trying to get my new fangled fancy dancy printer to work. finally had to connect the “wireless” printer to my laptop with a usb in order to print – but now i can start printing all the pics i want!! and we got some good ones, too. nathan and i even got a picture with mickey!! you can’t top that!!

i had more birthday cakes than i have ever had before, because every restaurant we ate in came out with something with a candle on it. a little embarrasing to have so many, but IT WAS SO FUN!! nothing but happy memories for this one of the major birthdays.

I’m so glad for all the cousins that made the effort to come and be dragged around disneyworld, and everyone had a really good time.

you never have to grow all the way up. :))
